The Prospect Project are the creators of the socially conscious (and sassy AF) soy wax candles and are based in Perth, WA.
You may know “This Candle Smells Like Unicorn Poo” and other classics.
They might not be a perfect or polished business, but they’re committed to being ethical, environmentally conscious, and unique in everything they do. They are their harshest critics when it comes to being the best. From their sustainability practices to our innovative flavours, they’re constantly reevaluating how they can do better.

Burn Candles. Do Good.
The Prospect Project is here to make being charitable sexy and less “annoying person wearing a lanyard in the middle of the shopping centre you’re trying to avoid eye contact with”. $2 (including the one in this pack) from every candle sold goes to a worthy cause and to date have raised over $30,000 for various, not-for-profit organisations. Soy wax: Hydrogenated soy oil, containing a soy-based additive. All 100% vegan, natural, and kosher.
Fragrance: Composed of natural, naturally-derived, and synthetic ingredients. All fragrance materials have been studied by RIFM (Research Institute for Fragrance Materials) for safety, and IFRA (International Fragrance Association) has set forth a code of practices for the use of the materials. This ensures that fragrances are safe for consumers. All our candles are phthalate-free (and smell-o-riffic AF).
Shannon at The Prospect Project recommends:
- Trim candle wick to about half a centimetre before lighting.
- If your candle starts smoking, your wick is too long. Blow it out, trim, and re-light.
- If your wick is drowning, melt some of the wax around the cord and pour out until
wick is visible. - Never leave a burning candle unattended. (That just dangerous.)
POSTAGE
We send all of our cards via the Australia Post network and pretty much adhere to their rules and regs. More information, along with general delivery timeframes can be found on our Shipping Information page, but the short of it is:
- All shipping costs quoted on this website are as per Australia Post. We’re not greedy fuckers and do not profit on this and this amount is what is paid to Australia Post.
- The free standard postage included with our cards is UNTRACKED and can take 5-10 business days for the cards to be delivered within Australia.
- Coronavirus is really fucking with people’s shit, especially internationally so this may affect the delivery schedule. The latest service updates from Australia Post can be found here: https://auspost.com.au/service-updates
- Once we have dispatched the items, all delivery things are out of our control and we rely on the good folk at Australia Post to do their thing.
- We are not responsible for correctly delivering items to addresses incorrectly supplied by you. We also don’t refund this either. Please check you have given us the right address.
REFUNDS + RETURNS
We do not refund or replace items if you have simply changed your mind. However, if your card arrives in a not so great condition or has not arrived within 30 days from the date of purchase, please contact us at [email protected] within seven (7) days of receiving it so that we can investigate and sort this out for you.
